Week of Respect
The first Monday beginning in October (October 7th-11th) is recognized as the Week of Respect in New Jersey schools. Our school is excited to be observing this week with your child by providing activities and instruction focused on character building and bullying prevention. Please see the schedule below for our Week of Respect events and activities. We encourage you to discuss with your child the meaning of respect and ways to show kindness and compassion for others. Thank you in advance for your participation and support!
Monday-Staff and Students will wear blue to stomp out bullying!
Respect Worksheet- What does respect mean to you? Why do we have week of respect in our schools? What skills do we need to be respectful?
Tuesday- Respect worksheet- How can we be respectful? Who deserves respect?
Students will also watch a video on respect that was created by students on what respect means to them.
Wednesday - No school 😊
Thursday- Students will watch a film on Social Emotional Learning and have a discussion.
Friday- "We Are" activity. Students find common ground amongst themselves and complete a list which demonstrates what makes them alike.
