Mission & Core Values
Our Mission
Memorial Middle School is committed to providing a supportive and challenging learning environment where every student develops academically, socially, and emotionally. We prepare students for success in high school and beyond by fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and strong character.
Recognized School of Character
Memorial Middle School is proud to be a School of Character. Each month, we recognize students who exemplify one of our COLTS core values.
Recognition is not about being perfect. It's about consistently showing the values that make Memorial a positive place to learn and grow. Every student has the opportunity to be recognized as they demonstrate what it truly means to be a COLT.
The COLTS Way: Our Core Values
At Memorial Middle School, COLTS represents more than just our mascot. It defines who we are and how we treat one another. Our core values guide our school community and shape the experiences students have every day.
Charitable
We believe in kindness, compassion, and service to others. COLTS students look for opportunities to help their peers, contribute to their community, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Optimistic
We approach challenges with a positive mindset and believe in our ability to learn and grow. COLTS students see setbacks as opportunities, maintain hope even when things are difficult, and encourage others to do the same.
Leaders
We take responsibility for our actions and set a positive example for others. COLTS students demonstrate leadership in the classroom, in activities, and in their interactions with peers. Leadership is not about a title. It's about how you show up every day.
Trustworthy
We act with honesty and integrity in all that we do. COLTS students keep their commitments, tell the truth, and can be counted on by their teachers, families, and friends.
Successful
We set goals, work hard, and take pride in our accomplishments. COLTS students understand that success looks different for everyone and is measured not just by grades, but by effort, growth, and character.
